ihnen gekauft. Magda Piskorczyk. Sehr gute Stimme mit ein paar ungewöhnlichen
Klangräumen, sehr tief, sehr hoch, richtig extended voice. Und mit dem schönen
laid back-Gefühl, das zum Blues gehört.
Monday afternoon I was at the rehearsal of the jazz musicians who had invited me. Including the pianist Lee Shih-yang and Klaus Bru, a musician (saxophonist) who has lived in Taipei and is now back in Vienna. And two Taiwanese musicians with traditional instruments, guqin (a kind of zither) and a wind instrument that looks like a pocket organ, very nice sound, and very suitable for improvised music (named Shen or so) Sometimes it can be fun to play with other musicians ....Sunday evening I went to the blues festival, which took place here in TAVCafé. I had no choice anyway. Until midnight I wouldn´t have a quiet moment in my room. From early afternoon to late evening blues bands from Taiwan and other parts of the world were playing. The last band was from Poland, two women with really good blues. I've bought a CD from them. Magda Piskorczyk. Very good voice with a few unusual sounds, very deep, very high, properly extended voice. And with the lovely laid back feeling that belongs to the Blues.
