Meine Ausbeute an musikalischen Neuentdeckungen (auf CD) wächst allmählich:- ein Sammlung mit historischer Musik für die Guqin, ein Instrument, das mindestens seit 3000 Jahren gespielt wird. Es ähnelt einer Zither, hat sieben Saiten, wird ausschließlich als Soloinstrument benutzt und hat einen sehr intimen, für meine Ohren typisch chinesischen Klang. Konfuzius soll Guqin gespielt haben. - eine CD mit Gesängen der Yami, einer Volksgruppe der taiwanischen Ureinwohner, die auf einer kleineren Insel leben. Die Yami nutzen keine Instrumente, sondern singen "nur". Sehr einfache Melodien, aber dann manchmal von einer zweiten Stimme dissonant begleitet. Sehr schön.- eine CD des taiwanischen Labels Kandala Records, die experimentelle, neue, improvisierte Musik veröffentlichen. Die Compilation heißt "Nothing but everything". Sehr interessant. website: http://kandalarecords.tw Es sieht nun alles danach aus, dass ich hier doch noch die Möglichkeit haben werde, eine Version meiner Dao-Series durchzuführen. Wann und wo genau, wird sich hoffentlich Anfang der Woche herausstellen. Meine Studien im altchinesischen und daoistischen Denken gehen weiter. Ich lese die Übersetzung von Edward James, die schon deshalb sehr ungewöhnlich und anregend ist, weil sie in "chinglish" verfasst wurde, also in einem dem Chinesischen angeglichenen Englisch, das rauh wirkt, aber dem Geist die Freiheit gibt, in der Deutung der Sprüche mitzuarbeiten. Die Versuche, jemanden zu finden, der mir die "Sechs heilenden Laute", eine alte chinesische Form des QiGung, beizubringen, laufen noch. 

My yield in musical discoveries (on CD) grows gradually:- a collection of historical music for the Guqin, an instrument that is played at least for 3,000 years. It is similar to a zither, has seven strings, is used exclusively as a solo instrument and has a very intimate, to my ears typical Chinese sound. Confucius has practised playing Guqin. - a CD of songs of the Yami, an ethnic group of Taiwanese aborigines, who live on a small island. The Yami use no instruments, but just sing. Very simple melodies, but then sometimes accompanied by a second dissonant voice. Very beautiful.

It now look as if I am going to have the ability to perform a version of my Dao-Series here in Taipei. When and where exactly will turn out early in the week hopefully. 
My studies in the ancient Chinese and Taoist thoughts move on. I read the translation of Edward James, who is already very unusual and stimulating because it is written in "chinglish", ie in an english approximated to chinese, it sounds rough, but the spirit of the freedom in the interpretation of the text becomes wider. My attempts to find someone to teach me the "Six Healing Sounds", an ancient Chinese form of QiGung, are still going on.
